Universal Orlando buys 101 acres for $27.5M
Universal Orlando paid $27.5 million for 101 acres in Orlando where the company plans to build theme-park developments. The land is adjacent to 475 acres Universal Orlando bought in 2015 for $130 million, so the latest acquisition increased to 576 acres the amount of land Universal Orlando is holding for future development.
The 576-acre holding is several times larger than the companyâ€™s Universal Orlando Resort, which encompasses hotels and such attractions as Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. Universal Orlando has no firm plans for how it will use the land.
